Researching ways to save your hard-earned bucks and get in on the finest skiing around, here's a few tips I've picked up on saving money on 2004-2005 lift ticket prices for Vail.
When I was a kid skiing the Midwest, I remember walking into a ski town's sport shop and being able to get a cheap lift ticket. Times have changed. Policies may no longer allow area shops to compete with the resort. But if you're flying into Denver, you can see if shops in that area offer discounts. King Soopers grocery stores have been known to offer deals - ask around.
For you novices like I once was, here's something else you might want to know. Vail, as with all other area ski resorts, will consider your teenager an adult. That in mind, pricing categories are as follows: Adults 13-64, children 5-12, and seniors 65 and over.

The holiday (Dec. 18-January 1) through the winter season (January 2-February 18) and into the spring season (Feb. 19-April 2) you should expect to pay full prices.
